Workshop: Access to compulsory binding dispute resolution under the Law of the Sea Convention (LOSC)

During the Centre Days 2016, JCLOS will arrange a workshop on: "Access to compulsory binding dispute resolution under the Law of the Sea Convention (LOSC): a survey of the issues.

The purpose of this workshop is to assess the experience that has been gained with the compulsory dispute resolution provisions of the Law of the Sea Convention. There is now a considerable body of jurisprudence on the interpretation and application of these provisions and the papers described below will take stock of that jurisprudence and attempt to assess whether these provisions have worked out as intended by the parties to the LOSC negotiations and the extent to which unanticipated issues might have arisen.

The workshop venue is Teorifagbygget, building 4, room 4213.
