Research interests
In my research I focus on language situations in Northern Norway, and my current research topics are language education policy for historical minorities in the North (Sámis and Kvens/Norwegian Finns). Important key words are multilingualism, identity, language ideologies, place and citizenship.
In 2021–2025 I am the pricipal investigator of the project Multilingualism in Transitions (MultiTrans), funded by the Research Council of Norway.
