Sushmit Dhar

Research interests

 

My research lies at the intersection of control engineering, automation, and data-driven methods, with a particular focus on maritime applications and emerging intelligent control solutions.

My research interests include:

  • Classical and modern control methods (PID, LQR, MPC)
  • State estimation, Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs), and Reinforcement Learning (RL) for control and decision support
  • IoT-based automation solutions
  • Maritime operations, vessel icing, and hydrodynamic modeling
  • Data-driven modeling for decision support in complex systems
