Min forskningsinteresse ligger i skjæringspunktet mellom miljøhistorie og filosofi med fokus på transformasjon av immateriell kulturarv til samfunnsmessig resiliens bygget på prinsipper for post-vekst. Jeg utforsker for tiden potensialet for slik transformasjon i den immaterielle kulturarven i dunvær-tradisjonen i de nordlige sjølandskapene i Norge (Sea-related Values and Identities in the Vega Archipelago (VIVA), RCN 2024-2025).

Nylig utforsket jeg dette transformative potensialet i lokal bygdeindustri, se Making CO2 a resource. The Interplay Between Research, Innovation and Industry  (Routledge Exploration in Environmental Studies, 2024) redigert sammen med Elin M. Oftedal.
