Research interests
I am a registered nurse, Master of health sciences and PhD of health sciences. I currently work as professor in the Department of health and care sciences.
I am far above average interested in aging, old age, and older people.
My research interests are in the intersections of critical gerontology, narrative gerontology, and healthcare service research. I am interested in the lives and well-being of older adults in general. I have a special interest for inequities in health, as well as inequities in access to and use of health care. My methodological expertise is in qualitative research and narrative studies.
