My name is Sfundo Mbatha from South Africa, Stellenbosch University. During my autumn semester exchange at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway, I successfully reached most of my educational goals while gaining invaluable personal and professional growth.
Beyond academics, the semester abroad has been transformative on a personal level. Living in a different cultural setting taught me adaptability and independence, while interactions with students from around the globe expanded my cultural awareness and network.
The experience of exploring Norway’s stunning Arctic landscape also inspired a greater appreciation for environmental conservation, reinforcing my commitment to pursuing my PhD in the geography field focusing on conservation and environmental crimes.
I would definitely recommend UiT as an exchange student as it has offers world class educational opportunities.
