Official Launch of the FRIPRO Project DigiRL 5.0 at UiT
UiT – The Arctic University of Norway has officially launched the FRIPRO project “Digital Reverse Logistics Twin 5.0 (DigiRL 5.0)”, bringing together the project team and students to explore new approaches to sustainable logistics.
Funded by the Research Council of Norway through the FRIPRO – Researcher Project for Young Talents programme, the project will investigate how disruptive technologies and AI can support smarter management of returned and end-of-life products, from collection and logistics to recycling processes. A key focus of the project is to ensure that human roles remain central in future digital logistics and reverse logistics systems.
The launch event included a short presentation of the project’s goals and research directions, followed by an informal gathering where participants had the opportunity to meet the project team and discuss future collaboration and student thesis opportunities.
