Low Carbon Concrete for Arctic Climate with Excellent Sustainability and Durability

Interreg Volunteer Youth Project Partner for the NPA Interreg project "Ar2CorD"

UiT, The Arctic University of Norway is looking for an IVY volunteer! Support developing Low Carbon Concrete for Arctic Climate.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Low Carbon Concrete for Arctic Climate with Excellent Sustainability and Durability - Ar2CorD", under the Interreg Programme "Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic".

The objective of the Interreg project "Ar2CorDis to persue the optimisation and durability assessment of low carbon concrete (LCC), supported by environmental analysis.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

  • conduct research on concrete laboratory topics related to the Ar2CorD project;
  • analysing data from long-term durability tests of concrete, analysing performance and reliability when applied to the testing of low carbon/ecological concretes;
  • building up the long-term test facility in Narvik Harbour - this will be followed by the preparation of reports or presentations;
  • maintaining the project website, creating some promotional material and other things such as the project logo printed in concrete.
