SMBE in Copenhagen

Bastian gives ancient RNA talk

The latest research from the MIRevolution team was presented at SMBE2026 in Copenhagen, which brought together a record-breaking 1,700 participants from the international molecular evolution community.

The presentation showcased recent work from the Fromm Lab, conducted primarily by MIRevolution PhD candidate Vanessa Paynter. The research is the result of a productive collaboration with Marianne Dehasque, Emilio Mármol Sánchez, Love Dalén and several other colleagues.

Following the International Conference on Palaeogenomics in Stockholm, the journey to Copenhagen was made by train in support of the conference’s #NoFlySMBE initiative.
