Xperimentarium -Exhibition opens with contributions from the Lab

We have been working with a new exhibiton and contributed a mammoth fur ;-)

From the descriuption of the exhibition

No story is ever complete. There is always an X – an unknown, a perspective that has not yet been conveyed. This is also the case with this exhibition. It is our Xperimenatrium, a living space where we explore new stories, new ways of communicating, and update with new research. The exhibition you visit today may therefore look different tomorrow.  
At the center of the stories are our collections – the objects we have collected over 150 years. They are the heart of the museum, and the foundation for almost all the work done here; whether it is research, conservation, education or communication. The collections consist of over two million objects, and span many disciplines within nature and culture, and function as a physical archive of the North.  

We show a Mammoth-fur made from sheep hai and a Mammoth tooth made from wood!

We talk about the real Mammoth (YUKA) that we ha a smaple from to extract RNA and which we published recently in CELL.
