Here are UNN’s new cutting-edge scanners

Nordlys.no: Thanks to a NOK 200 million donation from Trond Mohn, the hospital now has a total-body PET/CT scanner and a PET/MRI scanner.

A NOK 200 million donation from Trond Mohn has enabled the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) to upgrade its PET centre with a total-body PET/CT scanner and a PET/MRI scanner. The new technology reduces scanning time from 20 minutes to five, lowers radiation exposure and virtually eliminates waiting times. It will provide faster and more precise diagnostics, particularly for cancer patients, while making examinations easier for children and patients in pain.
