  • Conversations with a psychologist or social worker
Norway's Arctic Student Welfare Organisation is responsible for the welfare of UiT students. Through their counselling service, you can talk to a psychologist or social worker. They have emergency appointments available, and with regular bookings they have a waiting time of a maximum of two weeks. The conversations can be conducted both physically and digitally. You can book an appointment via the link above, or you can get in touch on +47 776 49050. You can also call the Student telephone: +47 116 123 (key 3). It is a free and anonymous low threshold offer for all students who need someone to talk to.
  • Sjømannskirken – Norwegian Church Abroad
UiT has a contingency agreement with Sjømannskirken. In the case of urgent emergency cases, their 24-hour emergency telephone number applies: +47 951 19 181. They also have a chat service which can be found at nettkirken.no.
  • Leisure activities and social measures
If you would like to meet other students, there are many teams and associations within politics, sport, art, and culture at UiT. Here is an overview of the student groups. The Arctic Student Welfare Organisation also arranges a number of activities and events that you can take part in, everything from walks and yoga to art workshops. Here is an overview of the activities.
