Den 6. juni holdes det et nettforedrag fra Universitetet i Novi Sad, i Serbia (UNS).  Det vil gi en innføring i analyse av sosiale nettverk, en kompleks del av virkeligheten vi omgir oss med hver dag. Alle av oss tilhører et sosialt nettverk, hvor vi deler med andre bestemte livssyn og meninger, og hvor vi blir påvirket av gruppedynamikk. Under foredraget tas det opp hvordan sosiale nettverk er tett vevd inn i våre liv og hverdag.

English:

On 6 June there will be held an online lecture on social networks from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia (UNS). The lecture is an introduction to how you can analyze social networks, a complex part of reality that surrounds us each day. Everyone belongs to a social network, where we share with others certain beliefs and opinions, and in which we are affected by group dynamics. In the lecture we can gain insight into how networks are woven into our everyday life.

Norwegian:

Foredragsholderen er Ernest Šanca, universitetslektor ved Institutt for matematikk og informasjonsvitenskap ved UNS. Han skal belyse hvordan enkel matematikk og vitenskapelige metoder kan tas i bruk i en analyse av sosiale nettverk, av deres komplekse strukturer og forbindelser.

Du kan ved å følge foredraget lære mer om disse emnene:

  • Hva sosiale nettverk er og hvordan de fungerer.
  • Den historiske bakgrunnen for sosiale nettverk.
  • Hvordan de utvikler seg i møte med nye omstendigheter.
  • Nettverk som arenaer for læring og utvikling.
  • Relasjonsrollene påvirker og følger.
  • Hvordan en oppnår enighet i et sosialt nettverk.

Fristen for å registrere seg til nettforedraget er 5. juni 

Foredraget holdes i regi av EUGLOH-programmet, som er basert på et samarbeid mellom ni europeiske universiteter. Med EUGLOH kan studenter fra hele Europa delta på seminarer, konferanser, kurs og utveksling knyttet til fagretninger som omhandler global helse.

The lecturer is Ernest Šanca, who is assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics and Information Science, Faculty of Sciences at UNS. He will shed light on the complex structures and relations in a social network by using simple mathematics and scientific methods.

In the lecture you can delve into the following topics:

  • What social networks are and how they work.
  • The historical background of social networks.
  • How they develop when encountering new circumstances.
  • How social networks are mediums for learning and development.
  • The relationship roles of the influencer and the follower.
  • How to reach consensus in a social network.

Deadline for registering to attend the lecture is 5 June.

The lecture is part of the educational activities offered to students by the EUGLOH alliance. It is based on the cooperation between nine European universities. EUGLOH makes it possible for students all over Europe to participate in seminars, conferences, courses and exchange which has a multidisciplinary scope, regarding global health.
