Getting in touch

Should you get lost or have pressing questions during the workshop, please contact Bror-Magnus: +47 92439717 (cell phone) / +47 77 64 42 43 (work phone).

Getting to the workshop

There are frequent commersial flights to Tromsø Airport. Both local busses and airport coaches run from the airport to the city center. You can find more information on getting to and from the airport on their website.

The workshop will take place partly on the University campus and partly on the premices of the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), which are co-located. Both can be reached from the city center with the buses 20, 21 and 34.

It's preferable to download an app to buy bus tickets.

Accommodation

There are many hotels available in the city center. However, these may get very expensive in the winter, as this is the high season for incoming tourists, due to the northern lights. All participants have received a booking code to Pingvinhotellet, located inside the Universitey Hospital, to a set price.

Getting around

Everything on the campus/hospital is walking distance.

On Wednesday evening, those who want (hopefully everyone!) can join for a sauna experience at Pust (location in OpenStreetMap)

On Friday evening, all participants are cordially invited to a dinner at Full Steam (location in OpenStreetMap). The food is on EUGLOH (but you have to pay for your own drinks).

Both locations are downtown.

What to pack

Tromsø can be both icey and snowy, as well as rainy and slippery this time of year. Please check the forecast at yr.no some days before, and pack accordingly. Visit Tromsø also has a guideline on how to dress in the Arctic.

And don't forget to pack swimwear and towels for the Sauna experience on Wednesday!
