Har du ikke mulighet til å være ute et helt semester, kan sommerskole i utlandet være et godt alternativ. Hvorfor bruke sommerferien på å studere? Jo, du får både læring og kulturelle opplevelser - noe som kan gi deg en sommer utenom det vanlige. Ikke la muligheten gå fra deg!
De fleste sommerskoler varer fra to til seks uker og er studiepoenggivende. Enkelte sommerskoler kan godkjennes som en del av utdanningen ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet. Dette må avklares i hvert enkelt tilfelle med programansvarlig på studiet ditt. Hvis du skal ha studiepoeng fra sommerskolen godkjent ved UiT, må du søke om utveksling på vanlig måte: Søk om utveksling . Responsible Tourism Finland Summer School 4-10 June 2020 (Finland)
Are you interested in responsible tourism? Are you eager to learn how to make better places for people to live in and to visit as tourists? Join our Summer School programme in the land of thousands of lakes and the midnight sun to experience both city and rural surroundings within responsible tourism.
The Summer School programme is divided into two parts. We start in Helsinki (awarded by title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2019) and focus in urban tourism and responsibility. We visit the Fortress of Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you will have a unique chance to do fieldwork based on the pre-assignment. We also visit Helsinki’s new Central Library Oodi, which is a living meeting place for both local people and tourists. Oodi was chosen as the best new public library in the world in 2019.
We discuss overtourism and cruising issues in Responsible Tourism in Destinations Conference, which is the second part of the summer school programme. After that we will head to Central Finland, where we highlight issues in rural surroundings and responsibility, especially in the Lakeland region. Both regions are pilot projects in Sustainable Travel Finland –programme coordinated by Visit Finland and therefore offer a great learning environment for responsibility issues.

Summer Program in Mountain Studies June 17-28, 2019
Experts from a wide range of disciplines will offer a rich, interdisciplinary view of Alpine history, culture, and environment, in this short program taught in the heart of the Alps.

The course will also take you beyond the classroom and into the mountains in a series of field trips and case studies tied to the latest in current research. The first week will take participants to the Vercors range to learn fist-hand about economic policy and changing local cultural practices.
The second week includes a two-day trip to Lautaret pass and its geological transect to meet with UGA researchers, see the unique and beautiful botanical gardens, and experience sleeping in a mountain shelter. You'll also fuel your hike with some authentic alpine cuisine.
Waseda Summer Session 2020 (Japanese Studies)
Founded in 1882 at the heart of Tokyo, WASEDA University is recognized as one of the most international universities in Japan. From 2014, Waseda started a four-week summer session at the undergraduate level.
We welcomed highly motivated international students from 83 universities in 22 different countries and regions around the world in 2019. Together with Waseda students, they fully explored Waseda and Tokyo, which is consistently ranked high among the best cities to visit in the world.

Vilnius Summer School 2020 (LITAUEN)
The upcoming summer we are launching the 4th Vilnius Summer School on four separate courses: military, cyber and energy security, as well as on countering organized crime.
Vilnius Summer School is a week-long international academic program dedicated to share knowledge and stimulate dialogue among students and professionals on a variety of security issues at national, regional and global levels.
The courses on military and cyber security will take place on 11-18 July 2020:
- Military Security course gives you a chance to get in-depth understanding about current threats the Eastern flank of Europe faces and the countermeasures it applies to deter aggressors and defend both – regional and national – security interests. In addition, the course includes a site visit to Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas Staff Battalion.
- Cyber Security course provides an opportunity to get to know more about today’s cyber security world, including emerging cyber-threats and increasing cyber-attacks. The course addresses political, strategic and legal aspects of cyber security on national, regional and international levels. It also gives a chance to get a thorough understanding about cyber-defence and possible countermeasures. Besides, the course includes a site visit to Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas Staff Battalion.
The two following courses on energy security and countering organized crime will take place on 18-25 July 2020:
- Energy Security course provides you with an opportunity to gain knowledge about global energy tendencies and perspectives and how they correlate with regional and national developments of the European and the Baltic gas and electricity markets, as well as the remaining challenges the Baltic region faces in its efforts to enhance its energy security. The course includes a site visit to controlled zone at Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant which is of the same type as the one that exploded in Chernobyl in 1986. Ignalina NPP is in a process of decommissioning expected to be finalized by 2038.
- Countering Organized Crime course seeks to present a tentative account of organized crime in the Baltic region and beyond as well as providing some recommendations on how to enhance regional cooperation in countering these threats. Organized crime will be analyzed from different perspectives: as illegal activity, as a legacy of Soviet system, as a political instrument. In addition, different methods to counter organized crime will be introduced. Participants of C-Organized Crime course will have an opportunity together with participants of Energy Security course to attend the visit to Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.

Arctic Winter School 2020 in Yakutsk (Russland)
North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk is co-organizing the Arctic Winter School 2020 together with University of Hokkaido and Northern Forum international organization from February 25 - March 7, 2020.

Summer School “Arctic Law
Northern Arctic Federal University is pleased to announce the Summer School “Arctic Law” to be held on 12-18 July 2020 in Arkhangelsk, Russia.

UPF Barcelona International Summer School 2019 (Spania)
The Universitat Pompeu Fabra offers the Barcelona International Summer School (BISS) as a flagship program to advance the curriculum of both domestic and international undergraduate students during the summer term in Barcelona.
Courses are credit-bearing (ECTS) and can be taken in English, Spanish or Catalan, in and international classroom environment. They are structured in modules of different duration and intensity, which can be flexibly combined in periods ranging from one to four weeks.
The BISS offers advanced training by building on UPF academic strengths, engaging leading faculty members to feature and share their current research with participating students.
Subjects have been conceived as an invitation to think and learn beyond and across disciplines, while approaching social and scientific challenges from content, methodological and practical perspectives. Independent research projects along these lines can be supervised by UPF scholars in the BISS summer term.

Summer German Course at the Coast 2019
The best place to learn German is in Germany! That is why Jade University is offering the Summer German Course for the 23nd time, this year from 30th July until 22nd August 2019 in Wilhelmshaven.

For international students University of Konstanz’s partner universities, a German intensive course is always offered in August. Participants receive instruction at their own language ability level - whether beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Data Literate Minds (6 ECTS) Your students can join this summer school from May 18th - 29th, 2020. They can bring their data skills to the next level and themselves into a top position to co-create future occupations and work dynamics. Please note that the registration deadline for this summer school is already on February 15th, 2020.
Innovation Districts – Discovering the elements that boost knowledge-based economies (3 ECTS). The summer school takes place from July 6th - 17th, 2020 and we invite students of the field of business and economics.
Acquisition of Intercultural Skills in and through dance/movement (6 ECTS).. The summer school takes place from July 26th - August 2nd, 2020 and it is offered for students in the field of social sciences.
Renewable Energy Systems (3 ECTS): An interdisciplinary summer school offered for students studying engineering subjects which takes place from August 30th - September 11th, 2020. For this summer school there are scholarships available.
Sustainability, Nutrition and Culinary Studies (3 ECTS): The summer school is about the combination of a sustainable lifestyle with healthy diets and food culture. It takes place from August 31st - September 4th, 2020.
