Job description
I am a biogeochemical modeller in geosciences. My research focuses on the sedimentary cycling of nutrients and carbon in polar regions and how these may be affected by climate change.
At the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), I am part of the new centre for ice, Cryosphere, Carbon and Climate (iC3). As a member of Research Unit 5, my PhD thesis aims at Evaluating the potential methane hydrates reservoirs beneath Antarctica and its vulnerability to future change with ice sheet mass loss.
Besides my PhD, I am also part of the belgian project called DEHEAT. In this project, I am carrying out sensitivity analyses to assess which environmental conditions favour the release of alkanility from coastal sediments and could help us tackle climate change.
Finally, I did my Masters in Environmental Sciences and Management at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). There, I wrote my master's thesis on the Quantification of panarctic benthic-pelagic carbon and nutrient fluxes.
