University lecturer and researcher in child welfare. Research group leader for Child Welfare and Professionalised Care (BVPRO).
Part-time position as a senior advisor at KORUS nord (Competence Center for Substance Abuse).

Research interests
I have researched the organisation of measures for youths aged 18-23 who receive assistance from child welfare services and contributed to legislative changes in the new Norwegian Child Welfare Act (2021).
Following the mapping study at NTNU Social Research (Paulsen et al. 2020), I have researched youths' participation in the transition to adulthood.
Additionally, I research teaching and learning in higher education through group practice.
Teaching
I teach about aftercare, adoption, children and youths' participation and perspectives on children and youths in the bachelor's programs in child welfare and social work, as well as the master's program in child welfare work. In addition, I supervise bachelor's and master's students.
I have been an external examiner in social work studies and child welfare subjects and a research contact for the Holberg Prize (University of Bergen). Upon request, I have been a peer reviewer for international journals.
