Linn Nilsen

Doctoral Research Fellow

Job description

Linn is a doctoral research fellow at the Department of Community Medicine and the research group Epidemiology of Chronic Diseases. Her PhD project is titled "Atrial fibrillation in the Tromsø Study - Hypothetical interventions, social inequalities and the association with myocardial infarction". The purpose of the project is to emulate a RCT to estimate the effect of joint interventions in a counterfactual setting, to evaluate socioeconomic status and its role in the development of AF and to attain a greater understanding of AF as a risk factor for MI. To provide answers to these questions, data from the Tromsø Study is used in combination with data from the University Hospital of North Norway (Tromsø).
