PARTNERS: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBMITTING THE REQUEST?

The Incoming Exchange Team will register your name and email in the relevant agreement in our system. You will be informed by email about how to access the Nomination Web to nominate your students to UiT.

NOTE! We have designed the form to make sure you receive access to the correct agreement you have with UiT.

1 - HOW TO LOG IN THE NOMINATION WEB

• "CHOOSE INSTITUTION:" UiT The Arctic University of Norway".
• Your Username: is your e-mail address. (If you are not registered as a user, please see STEP #1)
• Requesting a password: To log in the first time you must order the password. Enter your e-mail addresS and click on "Send password".

2 - CHOOSE RELEVANT AGREEMENT

After logging in, you will see the "Available agreements and admissions" your institution has with the Partner Departnement at UiT.

1- Select the relevant "Active agreements" from the list
2- Click on the button “Add new nomination” to nominate your student to the "Department/Faculty at UIt".
3- Register your student (see Step #4)

3 - REGISTER YOUR STUDENTS

Please ensure you enter the correct data in all fields:

1. Student's Email address (please infrom your student that important information will be sent to this Email from UiT).
2. First name/Family name (as it appears in the student's passport).
3. Gender
4. Date of birth (as it appears in the student's passport)
5. Citizenship
6. Language (always choose ENGLISH)
7. Correct term (semester(s) for admission) and click on
8. Add nomination to save the data

HOW TO CANCEL YOUR NOMINATION

You can always cancel your nomination if the student has not created an application profile.

If you are facing problems with the cancellation, please send an email to mobility@uit.no .

HOW TO MODIFY YOUR NOMINATION

It is unfortunately not possible to modify the data (for instance, birthdate) after the completion of the registration of your students. Please send us an email to mobility@uit.no . We will manually correct the data in our system.

PARTNERS: CONFIRMATION OF NOMINATION

You will receive a confirmation sent instantly by our system to your registered email with information about your nominated students and their regsitered data.

NOMINATED STUDENTS: SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

Nominated students will receive an invitation email to apply. The invitation email is only sent to the email address registered by the Partner / Nominator.

The student will receive this information:

NOMINATION PERIOD

• Exchange in the Autumn semester (August - December): START 15 MARCH - DEADLINE 15 APRIL.
• Exchange in the Spring semester (January - July): START 15 SEPTEMBER - DEADLINE 15 OCTOBER.

NOMINATION PERIOD

• Traineeships in the Autumn semester (August - December): START 20 FEBRUARY - DEADLINE 10 MARCH.
• Traineeships in the Spring semester (January - June): START 20 AUGUST - DEADLINE 10 SEPTEMBER.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINES

• Autumn semester (August - December): START 15 MARCH - DEADLINE 30 APRIL.
• Spring semester (January - June): START 15 SEPTEMBER - DEADLINE 31 OCTOBER.

Students with non-EU, Swiss or Lichtenstein citizenship (passport): It is your responsibility to check which type of visa or registration (EU-EEA students) you will need and how to get it. If you arrive at UiT The Arctic University of Norway without the appropriate visa which permits you to study in Norway for the duration of your exchange, you may face troubles with the local Immigration Office at the Police Department. In some cases, you may have to leave Norway and re-enter in order to get your immigration permission corrected.
