🏛️ Partner Portal: How to nominate exchange students to UiT

The nominations for the spring semester 2027 will open on 15 September.

🌐 Nomination procedures for incoming exchange students

UiT uses an online service called Nomination Web (Nominasjonsweb) for semester exchange nominations. This platform is shared across Norwegian universities, so it is crucial to select: ✅ UiT The Arctic University of Norway when logging in.

📋 Nomination process at a glance

1️⃣ Request access to Nomination Web,
2️⃣ Log in and select your agreement,
3️⃣ Nominate your student(s),
4️⃣ Review and submit the nomination,
5️⃣ Modify or cancel nominations if necessary,
6️⃣ Student receives an invitation to apply,
7️⃣ Student submits an application in Application Web (Søknadsweb).

📢 Special deadlines: traineeships in clinical medicine and healthcare

Separate deadlines and procedures apply to traineeship students in clinical medicine and healthcare (e.g. Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Paramedics, Physiotherapy, and Social Education (Vernepleie)).

For students!

Only administrative staff at partner institutions should use Nomination Web.
❌ Students must not use this portal. Students will receive a separate invitation to apply after they have been nominated.

Complete the Access Request Form.
UiT's Incoming Exchange Team (mobility@uit.no) will register your name and email address under the relevant exchange agreement.
You will receive login instructions by email.

1. 🔑 Log in to Nomination Web

Use your email address as your username.
Click "Send password" to receive your login credentials.
Log in: https://fsweb.no/nomination/login.jsf" target="_blank"> Nomination Web

2. 📑 Select the agreement

Select the relevant active agreement with UiT.
Click Add new nomination.

3. ➕ Enter the student's information

Please ensure the following information is entered correctly:

Full name (as shown in the passport)
Gender
Date of birth
Citizenship
Email address
Language: Select English
Semester: Select Autumn or Spring

4. ✅ Review and submit

Review all information carefully.
Click Add nomination to submit the nomination.

You may cancel a nomination if the student has not yet created an application profile.
For corrections (for example, date of birth), please contact mobility@uit.no.

You will receive an email from mobility@uit.no confirming each nomination you have submitted
Your student will receive an email titled "Nomination for student exchange" with instructions on how to apply.
Please inform your student(s) about the email address you have used to nominate them
