Keen on investigating microbial behaviour, genetic adaptation, and community interactions, with a focus on antibiotic resistance, quorum sensing, and biofilm formation.

• Phage therapy, phage–bacteria evolutionary ecology, phage resistance evolution, evolutionary biology, and microbial ecology.

• Acinetobacter baumannii as both an opportunistic pathogen and model organism for studying how bacteria evolve resistance to phages.

• Phage biology, with a focus on lytic phages and in particular the phage I discovered during my postdoc in the US: Mystique.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Trude Anderssen is affiliated with the Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry Research Group and teaches at various chemistry-related laboratory courses for pharmacy students. She provides in-house training in HSE for new students/employees at the research group.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

She assists on various research projects, including toxicity testing of synthesis products.
