The Department has an internationally faculty with around 200 employees, that each year teaches several hundred students in basic biomedicine topics. The Department manages biomedical and translational research projects, and offers high-quality advanced infrastructure platforms on molecular imaging and flow cytometry (AMCF), proteomics and metabolomics (PRiME). Forensic Genetics centre (RGS) and Centre for new Antibacterial Strategies (CANS) are both organised within the department.
