Project updates
Our group members have been very busy with their research projects.
Under the UTFORSK project coordinated by Masoud – educational/research collaboration with Kung Hee University (KHU) - Sushmit and Behrooz visited KHU for two weeks (12 Nov – 23 Nov).
The good news is that our group also got another UTFORSK project. The project Global Security: North-South Partnership (GLOBSEC) will be done in cooperation with Stellenbosch University (South Africa). It gives our students the ability to study a semester abroad there, but it also opens up new possibilities for research cooperation.
Finally, Kone Foundation granted around 180 000 euros for a three-year project “Telecommunications infrastructure, time, communities, and the Arctic environment” to a research group Mirva is a member of. The project runs from January 2023 onwards. Kone Foundation is an independent and unaffiliated organisation that awards grants to promote academic research, culture and the arts in Finland.
