Mana Tugend asks the question “What Role for Traditional Knowledge in the Conservation of Marine Biodiversity in the Arctic High Seas?”

The question is relevant for the ongoing negotiations for the establishment of an international legally binding instrument under UNCLOS on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity located in areas beyond national jurisdiction. Read the post in its entirety here!

The Centre intends the NCLOS Blog to foster debate and discussion on legal and policy developments related to the law of the sea. Since 2021 the blog is edited by Iva Parlov and Endalew L. Enyew, who are both postdocs at NCLOS.
