The capacity of persons suffering from dementia and living in nursing homes in Troms to live a meaningful life based on former interests, activities and habits
The goal of this study is to develop knowledge of how senior citizens suffering from dementia perceive the meaning of life when presented with former interests, activities and habits in the nursing home. The study highlights how the former lives of patients can be integrated into the care provided at the nursing home. Fieldwork is carried out at nursing homes along with qualitative interviews of the patients' next-of-kin and of the carers in the nursing homes.
