Mahdis Jafari


Job description

Mahdis Jafari is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health Sciences, and a member of the Educational Psychology, Inquiry and Cognition (EPIC) group. Her research focuses on language comprehension, with particular emphasis on the role of contextual and verbal cues across different linguistic populations and developmental stages. She uses eye-tracking methods to investigate real-time language processing in children and adults.

Previously, she examined language processing in bi-/multilingual adults using EEG/ERP, eye-tracking, and self-paced reading techniques, with a focus on individual differences in executive function in second-language processing.
