Do you know that phenotypic heterogeneous subpopulations of isogenic microbial populations are a concern issue for the clinical treatment of bacterial infection? Then please be informed that phenotypically heterogeneous populations form dormant, non-antibiotic sensitive subpopulations, causing persistent or relapsing infections. My research is focused on dissecting that phenotypic heterogeneous subpopulation to understand the degree of heterogeneity level among them by molecular study approach.
