You can now nominate for UiT's 2024 Awards
It’s time to get started! UiT's awards for 2024 have been announced, and you can now submit nominations. The nomination deadline is set for January 15, 2025.
"We have an incredible number of skilled and dedicated staff at UiT, which means there are many deserving of recognition. By nominating someone, you’re not only giving them the chance to receive such an award but also showing colleagues that their work makes a difference and is noticed. In other words, there are only good reasons to aim for a record-breaking number of nominations this year," says Kathrine Tveiterås, Pro-Rector for Education at UiT.
The Board of UiT The Arctic University of Norway presents the following awards:
- Dissemination Award
- Research and Development Award
- Education Award
- Equality Award (Granted every two years in odd-numbered years. Therefore, it is not open for nomination in 2024.)
- Innovation Award
- Award for Young Researchers
- Work Environment Award (Granted every two years in even-numbered years. Nominations are open for 2024.)
The awards serve as recognition to encourage increased efforts, inspire the recipients and their academic environments, and support UiT's strategy and strategic focus areas. Each award comes with a prize of NOK 100,000.
The nomination deadline, as mentioned, is January 15, 2025. The awards are planned to be presented during UiT's annual celebration in April.
Nominations can be submitted to the University Director via the Section for Organizational and Staff Development (SEOP) in one of the following ways:
