Elected or appointed rector
The term of office for rector Anne Husebekk and the other elected rectorate at UiT Norway's Arctic University expires on 31 July 2021.
In the University Board meeting 17 June 2020 it was decided that the next rector will be appointed.
Important dates, 2020:
14 May: Digital information meeting for the whole organization
25 May: Deadline for input from the organization, unions, and the student parliament
17 June: Board meeting

The faculties and institutes, the unions, and the student parliament are invited to provide input into the process. The deadline is 25 May 2020.

A digital meeting for the whole organization was held 14 May from 14:00–15:30. A recording of the meeting can be found here.
The future management model at UiT is then scheduled to be processed by the university board on 17 June. Depending on the outcome, the election or announcement of a position as rector will be prepared in the autumn of 2020.
