Outbound exchange update for the spring semester in 2021
We are now accepting applications for exchange and study abroad for the spring semester in 2021. The COVID-19 outbreak is still affecting Norway, UiT and our partner universities around the world in their capacity to host exchange students from abroad.
The deadline for application for exchange and study abroad in the spring semester is 1 September. To apply for exchange abroad, please log in the Student Web to add the course UTV-0001 to your educational plan .
The International Cooperation Section at UiT has been in contact with our partner universities abroad that have cancelled the hosting of all student exchange or that have decided not to send their students to UiT in the spring semester in 2021. Please note that you should be prepared to expect a tuition from our partner universities that is based on a mixture of online and onsite teaching and examination arrangements. Any new arrangements that would affect your application for exchange will be available for you as soon as we receive further updates from our partners.
UiT is constantly assessing the ever-changing situation due the COVID-19's impact on exchange and study abroad, and closely following information and advice from our partner universities and the Norwegian authorities. We therefore would like to assure to our prospective outbound students that matters related to safety guidelines and the quality of exchange programmes abroad are of our utmost concerns.
Travel advice from the Norwegian authorities and the possibility of acquiring a valid travel insurance will be decisive factors for whether you should undertake a study abroad under the auspices of UiT.
We therefore pledge our students to keep themselves constantly informed about travel restrictions and infection control measures in foreign countries.
Furthermore, in the case of abruption of an ongoing study abroad programme, UiT will make its own assessments of what are the proper adjustments as to facilitate the completion of studies in terms of study offers for the affected students in the following semester.
