G-Force

G-Force is a newly established pre/seed investment & acceleration program in Slovakia. It is part of the global Founders Factory network with offices in London, Paris, New York & Johannesburg. Founders Factory had already accelerated around 200 startup companies. The program in Slovakia is focused on accelerating early-stage start-ups with promising sustainability-related tech in one of the following areas: circular economy, sustainable housing & manufacturing, sustainable mobility, food production, carbon/methane capture & storage. G-Force offers start-ups a bespoke 6-month acceleration program focused on:

  • Fixing & improving the company’s product, proposition, brand, business model, pricing strategy, etc.
  • Preparation for scale in terms of automation of processes, hiring of talent, digital growth, outsourcing, etc.
  • Help with connections to follow-on investors, potential global corporate clients & strategic partnerships

G-Force will lead work package #7 (Support existing sustainability start-ups & scale-ups to grow their companies) by selecting the right start-ups/scale-ups for this project and accelerating and mentoring them. G-Force will also provide insights on the business sector’s needs in terms of AI, big data & Environmental Sci and act as a link between the HEIs and start-ups (e.g. providing connections and support to the HEIs and their students to work jointly on solving the start-up's research needs).

Marián has over 20 years of business experience, having worked in marketing, product and strategy roles with fast-growing technology businesses in Europe and the United States. He helped build Startup Grind, the world's largest organisation for entrepreneurs, based in 125 countries. In 2015 he co-founded Braintrust, an influential think-tank of top technology Founders/CEOs from Central & Eastern Europe. In 2017 he co-founded IPM Growth, a venture capital company that invests in high-growth companies from Central and Eastern Europe with world-class technologies. Marián is the co-founder of G-Force, a global pre/seed investment and acceleration programme investing in promising climate-tech and green-tech companies.

Katarína holds a double-degree in Masters in International Management and has 6 years of experience in the telco business. She has previously been involved in strategy development projects and product management at O2 Slovakia.

Katarína now leads the programme coordination at G-Force and she is responsible for the implementation of the CloudEARTHi project.
