Testing Stage 2

The 2nd stage consisted of preparing 10 mixes with and without steel, basalt fibers in the industrial scale at Element Nor. For the first mixing, which started with steel fibers, Iveta and Klevis from UiT were present at Element Nor to follow the procedure and set the testing system. Based on the action, guidelines and tables for data recording, they were prepared to discuss all the details with Steinar and Eivind from Element Nor.
Testing in 2nd stage followed recommendations given in NB38. Fresh concrete testing, the casting of samples and early age compressive strength measurements were performed by Element Nor. Concrete samples for testing of residual flexural tensile strength and compressive strength after 28 days were shipped to UiT.UiT prepared the samples for testing, performed tests and processed the data.-
