Call for Papers - Future Transportation
Advances in AI-Driven Sustainable and Intelligent Logistics
As part of the ongoing activities of the UTFORSK project Industry 5.0 enabled Smart Logistics, a new Special Issue has been launched in Future Transportation titled: “Advances in AI-Driven Sustainable and Intelligent Logistics.”
The Special Issue provides a platform for researchers to explore how data-driven methods can support the transition towards more sustainable and efficient logistics systems. The initiative is closely aligned with the research focus of the UTFORSK project, particularly in addressing challenges related to uncertainty, visibility, and decision-making in logistics and reverse logistics systems. By bringing together contributions from different perspectives, the Special Issue aims to advance knowledge on how intelligent technologies can improve system performance while supporting sustainability goals.
The Special Issue is guest edited by researchers from both SWJTU and UiT, including:
- Prof. Mi Gan (Southwest Jiaotong University, China)
- Prof. Hao Yu (UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, Norway)
- Dandan Li (Southwest Jiaotong University, China)
Contributions are invited on topics including green logistics, sustainable freight systems, reverse logistics, digital twins, and data-driven supply chains. Both original research articles and review papers are welcome.
The deadline for manuscript submission is 30 December 2026.
