Micro Arctic Climates (MACS)

Micro Arctic Climates (MACS) will enhance research and education through better understanding of observed states and dynamics, and modelling of potential futures scenarios through simulation. Central to the theme will be the ongoing empowerment of the Peoples of the North to engage with this technology and related techniques in ways that they consider applicable and appropriate. The goal of the project is to establish a thematic group that is able to develop MACS in an effective and accessible manner.

MACS is a joint research endeavour between UiT The Arctic University of Norway and the University of Cambridge’s Scott Polar Research Institute.
