Within the Arctic Marine System Ecology (AMSE) research group at UiT, the iSI-Bio Laboratory works with cultures of sea ice algae and bacteria. Here, scientists test microbial responses to environmental change under controlled experimental conditions using a variety of methodologies. To support this work, iSI-Bio makes use of specialized clean lab and cold-room (+4 to -20°C) facilities at UiT.
