Anastasia Emelyanova is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Thule Institute, University of Oulu / University of the Arctic, Finland. She is Vice-Lead of the UArctic Thematic Network on Health and Well-being and performs various duties within the UArctic administration team. She is Arctic Five Chair in Healthy Ageing and One Health. Anastasia is a Lead of the NAPA funded project “Arctic Healthy Aging communities: Safe and inclusive outdoor environment and public spaces (The Nordic AHA-Communities)” (2023-2026). Her research interests include population changes, northern health and wellbeing, One Health applications in the Arctic context etc. She holds academic degrees from the University of Oulu and Northern Arctic Federal University (Russia).

In addition to her position at the University of the Faroe Islands, Dr. Veyhe has worked at the Department of Occupational Medicine and Public Health in the Faroe Islands for about 12 years. The department has researched for over 30 years, with a primary focus on environmental contamination from ingestion of local traditional marine foods and the impact on maternal and child health. Members of the department are in close collaboration with other Arctic networks, including the Arctic Monitoring Assessment Program (AMAP). Dr. Veyhe's PhD was conducted at UIT The Arctic University of Tromsø, focusing on Northern Norwegian pregnant women and their children and exposure to contaminants, which mainly come from marine foods.

Dr Klein is a professor in microbiology at USN where he is responsible for microbiology, epidemiology, and infectious disease control, and is a distinguished educator. He leads several infection prevention and infection research projects. He has worked with infectious diseases in Pakistan and Ethiopia, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the European Biosafety Association (EBSA).

Morten Tryland is a veterinarian and a virologist, and a professor in One Health and Infection Biology at HINN, campus Evenstad. He has worked more than 30 years with research, focused on zoonoses and infectious diseases in wildlife and semi-domesticated reindeer.

Prof. Susan Kutz is head of the Kutz Research Group at University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She is a veterinary parasitologist with 25 years of experience with wildlife diseases, working with different peoples and cultures in the Arctic region with a One Health approach. She has published numerous scientific articles, book chapters and books and has been an invited speaker on many international scientific conferences, also in a One Health context.

Assoc. Prof. Hollmen is a veterinary epidemiologist and wildlife ecologist with 25 years of experience with Arctic research. She is interested in the interface of environmental, animal, and human health, and One Health approaches to solving challenges. She has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters, and has presented in many international scientific conferences, also in a One Health context.
