We will study determinants and variation of survival over 30 years, linking population-based survey data from Finnmark III in 1987-88 with the Norwegian Cause of death Registry.
The Healthy Choices and the social gradient project aims to expand knowledge about how policy and interventions could improve population health and reduce health inequalities between groups, geographic areas and gender.
As a part of work package 3 in the Healhy Choices project we will study determinants and variation of survival over 30 years, linking population-based survey data from Finnmark III in 1987-88 with the Norwegian Cause of death Registry. We will explore how geographic, socioeconomic and cultural inequalities influence long-term survival.
Monika Dybdahl Jakobsen is involved in the research project as a post doctor, and the project is founded by the Research Council of Norway.
