Assignment templates
This is where you find Word templates you can use when you write assignments, Master's theses or doctoral theses. Choose faculty, language and type og assignment to find the templates that are relevant for you to download
For type of assignment you can choose between "Create a new thesis" and "Frontpage". The former includes page numbers, headings, a table of contents and information about how to use the template. You skip having to think about formatting and can focus on the content of your assignment. "Frontpage" is a file that can be added to an existing Word document.

Info about the PhD templates
Doctoral theses are printed in the format 170x240mm at UiTs own printing service when you defend your thesis. The printing service have the necessary templates to make the cover.
On this page you find a "normal" Word template in A4 that can be used before your defense, when the thesis is sent to the comittee.
