English:

Between 5 and 9 June Université Paris-Saclay (UPS) will arrange both an online and physical workshop which can give insight into how the carbon cyclus works and its significance regarding efforts to counteract climate change.

Workshop about capture and storage of carbon

The workshop is part of the activities offered to students by the EUGLOH alliance. It is based on the cooperation between nine European universities. EUGLOH makes it possible for students all over Europe to participate in conferences, courses and exchange which has a multidisciplinary scope, regarding global health.

UPS has adapted the workshop to physics undergraduates. It is held both online and physically at UPS and consists of a theoretical and practical part. The participants will have the opportunity to learn about carbon cycle modelling and how carbon capture technology can be used to reduce CO2 emissions.

The selection of applicants of candidates will be based on pre-requisites in physics, environmental science and on motivation. For online participation, undergraduate students will be prioritized. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance. Those who participate physically at UPS will receive 2,5 ECTS.

Deadline for applications is 20 May.
