Klimaendringer påvirker i stadig større grad helsen til dyr og mennesker, og hele økosystemer. Nå kan du delta på et EUGLOH-kurs, som holdes våren 2024, hvor du kan utvikle løsninger for denne utfordringen.

Climate change is increasingly impacting the health of humans and animals, and the environment. You can now participate in a EUGLOH course, which is held in the spring of 2024, where you can develop solutions to such challenges.
NORWEGIAN:
Klimaendringer er blitt beskrevet som «den største trusselen mot menneskeheten». Dette er noe som allerede påvirker våre liv, men også livsgrunnlaget til dyr og økosystemer.
Fremvekst av helseproblemer i ulike land og regioner på planeten stiller helsevesenet, politikere og andre beslutningstakere overfor alvorlige utfordringer.
Slike helseutfordringer er uløselig knyttet forfall i økosystemer og en økning i antall katastrofale værhendelser, fremveksten av nye patogener og smittsomme sykdommer. I tillegg blir det stadig mer utbredt med ekstremvarme, luftveissykdommer, underernæring og psykiske lidelser.
Læringsmål for kurset
EUGLOH-alliansen har startet et initiativ kalt One Health approach som har som mål å motvirke og forhindre at klimaendringer får negative ringvirkninger når det gjelder helse.
Kurset One Health and Climate Change vil kunne gi deg en innføring i forbindelsene mellom klimaendringer og helse.
Det vil kunne danne et rammeverk for å forstå de grunnleggende mekanismene bak klimaendringer og hvilke følger det får for helsen til dyr og mennesker. Det vil da legges vekt på å identifisere forbindelsen mellom globale utfordringer og lokale trusler.
Innhold, kursplan og søkerkrav
Kurset skjer gjennom undervisning og møter på nettet.
Deltakere kan også lære om det teoretiske grunnlaget for One Health-tilnærmingen gjennom selvstudium, og ved å bruke den interaktive læringsplattformen Moodle.
Nettmøtene skjer via Zoom. Da kan deltakere ta del i rollespill hvor de kan reflektere over hvordan løsninger kan bidra til endringer på ulike plan, ansvarsforhold og hvordan en kan skape engasjement.
Etterpå kan det legges fram helhetlige løsninger på et bestemt problem.

Webinaret er en av flere aktiviteter og utdanningstilbud som er tilrettelagt av EUGLOH-alliansen. Den er basert på et samarbeid mellom ni europeiske universiteter. Med EUGLOH kan studenter, universitetsansatte og forskere fra hele Europa delta på seminarer, konferanser, kurs og utveksling, som er relatert til global helse.

Climate change has been described as "the greatest threat to humanity". This is something that already affects our lives, but also the existential preconditions of animals and ecosystems.
The emergence of health problems in different countries and regions of the planet poses serious challenges for healthcare, politicians, and other decision-makers.
Such health challenges are inextricably linked to the decline in ecosystems and an increase in catastrophic weather events, the emergence of new pathogens and infectious diseases. In addition, extreme heat, respiratory diseases, malnutrition, and mental disorders are becoming increasingly widespread.
Learning objectives for the course
The EUGLOH Alliance has launched an initiative called the One Health approach, which aims to counteract and prevent negative health consequences of climate change.
The One Health and Climate Change course will provide an introduction to the connections between climate change and health.
It will provide a framework for understanding the basic mechanisms behind climate change and its consequences for the health of animals and humans. Emphasis will then be placed on identifying the connection between global challenges and local threats.
Content, course schedule, and application requirements
The course will be conducted through online teaching and meetings.
Participants can also learn about the theoretical basis of the One Health approach through self-study and by using the interactive learning platform Moodle.
Online meetings will take place via Zoom. Participants can take part in role-playing exercises where they can reflect on how solutions can contribute to changes at different levels, responsibilities, and how to create engagement.
Afterwards, comprehensive solutions to a specific problem can be presented.

The course is part of the educational activities offered by the EUGLOH alliance. It is based on the collaboration between nine European universities. EUGLOH makes it possible for students, university employees and researchers from all over Europe to participate in seminars, conferences, courses and exchange, which are related to global health.
