Guest lecture: Education in times of crisis: Is uteskole a promising alternative?

Naturen som læringsarena (NArENA) presents a guest lecture with professor Ulrich Dettweiler and post doc Gabrielle Lauterbach from University of Stavanger. They are leading NArENA funded by Gjensidigestiftelsen by Norsk Friluftsliv which aims to develop new research-based knowledge on the practices of uteskole in Norway.

The main objective for NArENA is to develop new research-based knowledge on the practices of uteskole in Norway that is relevant for policy development, the public administration, teacher education, the field of practice, and the individual pupil. The teacher education at UiT by Veronica Bergan is leading the work package on "Sámi perspektives on uteskole".

This guest lecture is part of a collaborative seminar that explores Sámi perspectives on uteskole in the Arctic winter with scholars from campus Alta and Tromsø. Research members at UiT are Ingrid Frenning, Greta Heim, Jan Höper, Linda H. Johansen, Mona Kvivesen, Inger W. Krempig, Cecilie H. Moen and Veronica Bergan. 

The title of the guest lecture by Gabrielle and Ulrich is: Education in the times of crisis: Is uteskole a promising alternative?
