Call for Applications for Strategic Funds for Project Collaboration with Partners in Singapore 2026

UiT invites Academic Staff at UiT to Apply for Strategic Funds aimed at strengthening Collaboration with Singapore in Research, Education, and Innovation.

For 2026 up to NOK 600,000 from the Rector's strategic funds will be allocated to support activities related to ongoing or planned collaboration with partners in Singapore.

The primary aim is to support project collaboration by covering travel and accommodation costs associated with meeting activities in Singapore (UiT's rates apply), relationship building, project application development etc.

A new feature is that UiT can also fully or partially finance visits to UiT by collaboration partners from Singapore, preferably for ongoing project collaborations. All project applications must include a description of mutual engagement in the collaboration and show how this collaboration benefits both partners.

Priority collaboration areas: the marine area, energy, climate and environment, health/health technology. Applications concerning other academic fields may also be considered.

Each applicant can apply for up to NOK 100,000.

Applications must contain a title, a project outline and a budget (in Excel format). The application must be approved by the applicant's Head of Department/Unit, with documentation provided as a separate attachment (e.g., an email from the Head of Department/Unit is acceptable).

The application deadline is 30 January 2026, by 23:59.

A final project report and financial statement must be submitted by 10 December 2026. Extensions to the reporting deadline will not be granted. Funds not utilized by the reporting deadline must be returned.
