Job description
As a person with the responsibility for internationalisation work at the Department of Health and Care Sciences, I am responsible for international work at all study sites/affiliations of the Department and report to the Head of the Department. I am responsible for leading the work to develop a strategy for the internationalisation work at the department; in close collaboration with the department's management team, study-program leaders, coordinators for internationalisation in the study programs, and the scientific council. I have a responsibility to deliver the international strategy that will clarify ambitions and goal achievement within internationalisation and propose an implementation plan that contains a detailed description of and budget for measures related to each study program at the institute. This means that I am responsible for achieving a goal and delivering a result within the field area of internationalisation at IHO.
The key tasks include updating the department's international collaboration agreements, administration of student and teacher exchanges, and professional collaboration with international partners and others at UiT who work with internationalisation. As increased research collaboration is also desirable, it is also my duty to work closely with the institute's scientific council and research groups.
As an Associate Professor, my professional duties among others include both research and teaching work, especially in international and global health, but also supervision of students both at the bachelor's and master's levels, including students at the Ph.D. level, in topics related to internationalisation and global health in the department's study programs. Evidence-based practice and Public health in general, are also among the field of interest.
