Arctic MSCA-PF Program

Marie Skłodowska-Curie - Postdoctoral Fellowships at UiT

I want to be a MSCA supervisor, what do I do?

Sign up to the Arctic MSCA Program as an UiT supervisor by completing this application form no later than January 10th, 2025.

You can also consult the MSCA Guidelines on Supervision about the tasks and responsibilities of MSCA-PF supervisors.

I am a postdoc candidate and want to apply for MSCA-PF with UiT as host. What do I do?

First and foremost, you need to ensure that you fulfil the eligibility criteria:

  • Supported fellows must be in possession of a doctoral degree at the time of the call deadline. Applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree are also eligible to apply.
  • At the call deadline, supported researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date of award of the doctoral degree. Years of experience outside research and career breaks (e.g. due to parental leave), will not count towards the amount of research experience. Find Self-Assessment Tool to calculate your eligibility here.
  • Recruited researchers must comply with the following mobility rule: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.

If you come from abroad and wish to apply for a European Fellowship with UiT as host, you need to find a suitable supervisor amongst UiT's researchers and contact them directly. If you need further assistance, you can contact the Arctic MSCA organisers at UiT at ArcticMSCA@uit.no

If you are an UiT candidate wishing to do a Global Fellowship outside of Europe before returning to UiT, you need to find a suitable supervisor at the host institution for the outgoing phase (12-24 months). Your local, UiT supervisor for the return phase (12 months) must also agree to participate before you join the program. Contact us (ArcticMSCA@uit.no) if you wish to take part in the Arctic MSCA Program before the symposium on Jun 3rd, 2025.
