My research interests primarily relate to the law of the sea, international fisheries law, Arctic issues, environmental law and human rights.
I have written a PhD titled "Charting the Implementation of the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries in Tuna RFMOs: Challenges and Opportunities for Future Conservation of Non-Target Species." In my dissertation, I developed a case study examining how states can collaborate regionally to achieve more sustainable fisheries management, with a particular focus on the duty and responsibility to reduce ghost fishing.
I participate, in various capacities, to the following research projects:
- Sustainable Development of the Arctic Ocean (SUDARCO)
- Developing Good Ocean Governance of the Arctic in times of unpredictable and rapid changes (DOGA)
- Future Arctic Law and Governance (FALG)
- Arctic Ocean 2050
- Measures for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in European Fisheries (MeCCAM)
- Green transition in the North (pre-project)
