Through research, education, and dissemination, the Faculty of Law at UiT The Arctic University of Norway plays a pivotal role in advancing the rule of law and legal expertise within society. We possess wide-ranging expertise in legal studies, with particular emphasis on Sámi and Indigenous Peoples’ law, the law of the sea, and environmental law. The faculty also hosts NCLOS – the Norwegian Centre for the Law of the Sea – a globally recognised centre in this field.
