WARPeD Paper on Migrants and Boko Haram Crises

May 31, 2019: Bjørn Arntsen presented his research paper on the ways in which migrants have been navigating the Boko Haram crises in Cameroon.

In complex and fluid circumstances, the objective of the migrants is to garner social security and economic opportunities. The paper makes reference to not only the continuities—which have existed by virtue of religious and business networks as well as kinship and ethnic ties—but also disruptions—caused by state and public institutions—in trans-local cross-border networks.
