Reminder: the 11th annual Polar Law Symposium in Tromsø, Norway, October 2 - 4, 2018, call for papers

As previously announced the Faculty of Law and the KG Jebsen Centre for the Law of the Sea (JCLOS), UiT The Arctic University of Norway will organize and host the 11th annual Polar Law Symposium in Tromsø, Norway, October 2 - 4, 2018.

This is a reminder that the call for papers is available here.

Please e-mail all abstracts to Nigel Bankes at nigel.bankes@uit.no or at ndbankes@ucalgary.ca.

Abstracts should be submitted by May 1, 2018.

Confirmed keynote speakers are Aili Keskitalo, Head of the Norwegian Sami Parliament, Nalân Koç, Norwegian Polar Institute, Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, UN Special Rapporteur on Indigenous Peoples, Don Rothwell, Professor of International Law. Australian National University,  David Balton, former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Oceans and Fisheries, Government of the United States, and Marie Jacobsson, Legal Adviser to the Government of Sweden.
