Recent activities and outreach from the MOVA project.

Kick-off event in March 2026

On Thursday and Friday March 25 and 26th we organized an international workshop on bidirectional cross-linguistic influence (CLI) and officially kicked off the MOVA project. On Friday we recorded a series of popular science videos titled Three Questions to an Expert, featuring Cristina Flores, Monika Schmid, Roksolana Mykhayhlyk, and Tanja Kupisch. On Saturday March 28, we held a community event for Ukrainians in Tromsø where Roksolana Mykhayhlyk spoke about Ukrainian beyond borders — how it can be useful for tech careers and how families can keep the language alive. Children enjoyed an art workshop while parents connected over coffee.
