NettOpp

- a mobile application for adolescents who have experienced negative incidents online

Privacy

NettOpp does not collect personal or sensitive information about the app's user. The app does not require access to GPS, camera, contact lists, or any other such data. NettOpp was developed by the Regional Knowledge Center for Children and Youth at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

Data collected upon downloading the app may include:

  • The type of device on which the app is installed (mobile or tablet).
  • The model of your mobile device (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S10).
  • Operating system (Android/iOS).
  • Android Advertising ID and Advertising ID for iOS.
  • The country in which the device is used.

NettOpp will send the collected data as described above to Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. UiT and the data processor have access to the collected data, but this data cannot be linked to individual app users, neither by IP address, user account, nor any other means.

UiT and the data processor are used for the following purposes:

  • Facilitating the app.
  • Distributing the app.
  • Providing app-related services.
  • Assisting in the analysis of how the app is used.

However, UiT and the data processor are committed not to disclose or use the information for any other purposes.

When you use the app and in the event of an error or crash in the app, data and information (via third-party products) on your phone, referred to as log data, may be collected. Log data may include information such as device model and manufacturer, operating system version, app configuration when using the app, the time and date when the error/crash occurred, and other statistics.
