Ungdata in the North

Ungdata, under the auspices of NOVA at Oslo Met, conducts local questionnaire surveys to study youth life in today's Norway. Surveys have been carried out in most of the country's municipalities since 2010.

The database Ungdata has generated provides many unique opportunities to shed light on youth life in Norway. Ungdata in the North is a project of the Regional Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health and Child Welfare North. It aims to use Ungdata with a focus on young people in northern Norway and to investigate, for example, why young people from the north are at the top of the vulnerability indicator that measures relationships to parents, the school and their friends compared to young people from other regions as found in a report from NOVA (2017) . We will, for example, compare the life satisfaction of young people in northern Norway with the rest of young people in the country.
